On the 13 miles (21 km) long and 2.3 miles (3.7 km) wide island of Manhattan, between Central Park and East River you can find the richest part of the great city of New York, Upper East Side. The area was a preferred place by the great families of the country even in the first part of the 20the century, the Rockefellers, the Kennedys, the Roosevelts also had homes here.

The average income of those living here is $85 000, thanks to this fact the square meter price of immovable here is more than $1 000, fabulous, hah? However, being rich here usually teams up with being educated, for 76% of those who live hear have one or more degrees.

The Victoria Peak, otherwise called The Peak, is located on the western side of Hong Kong, it is the highest part of the city. The Peak is partly occupied by a radio-telecommunication station but beside that it gives home to numerous attractions and the country’s most expensive houses.

In the old times governors lived here but now the richest of the country buy houses in the area, it is a prestige in China to own even a cottage here (not that the buildings here would be anything like cottages), but the Peak is also clean, not overpopulated, green, provides amazing view over Hong Kong and is only 10-12 minutes from the city center by car.

So, would you like to have a house in any of the above places? Let us know in the comment section below. I for myself would not say no to a small weekend house on the Peak…
