Naturally, everyone has got their favorite and least favorite countries and nations based on their own experiences or things they have read or heard from friends. I am no exception, so I’ve put together all the factors I could and here are the top 3 friendliest countries in the world.

I love all the below countries but would be happy to hear your thoughts about them and other places and peoples you prefer. Because maybe budget and sunshine rank higher when you choose your next destination, but the friendliness of the people can make your holiday wonderful or quite a disappointment.

I love Ireland ever since I was a child and I am not alone. The country is becoming more popular every year. The amazing Celtic history, the great music, the mysterious landscapes…. and the Irish. There is always a smile for you wherever you go and folks trying to help.

Ireland is not the cheapest of destinations, but the crime rate is low, culture is blooming and the people are some of the friendliest in the whole world!

New Zealand

We all know the breathtaking landscapes of the country from Lord of the Rings. What we may not know is that the people there treat tourists the way they treat each other: with respect and trust. People are quite famous for not locking their doors all the time – they have no one to keep out, they say.

No matter if you are in a big city or a small town, you will notice the general kindness everywhere you go.

It is no news that Canadians are great in hospitality and general kindness and civility. I believe it is partly the reason why its metropolises are always on the top of the different most livable cities in the world lists.

Canada is very safe, genuinely friendly and has got a lot to offer from sledge dog races in a small town in the north through the French atmosphere of Quebec to the colorful, busy life in Toronto – and the list goes on and on.

I also love Australia, the UK – or rather Scotland and Wales, the Netherlands and a lot more places partly because of their amazing, friendly people.

I have also heard that the Caribbean is also nice from this point of view, but have not been there so far. What are your favorite friendly countries? And what are the least? Let me know in the comment section.
